The Position

Washington Nationals Baseball & Softball Summer Camps offer a five-day baseball experience for children ages 5-13, blending instruction and competition within a custom-built curriculum.

While specific roles aren’t open for applications just yet, our hiring process for leadership, coaching, and customer experience opportunities for Summer 2025 will open at the beginning of January. Be at the top of the candidate queue by expressing your interest now!

We’re looking for passionate individuals eager to make an impact through baseball and youth development. If you have experience in coaching, camp leadership, or customer service, we’d love to keep your information on file for potential positions. We provide the training, baseball curriculum & daily camp schedules along with all equipment for a successful camp day but need you to bring camp to life with your enthusiasm, dedication and un-matched energy.


What You'll Do

  • Leadership: Manage camp for campers and staff; work to ensure smooth day-to-day operations; practice proactive problem solving; create a positive and inclusive work experience; and act as liaison between Headquarters and site.
  • Coaches: Mentor, coach, and guide a team of campers through pre-written sport curriculum and game play, fostering a respectful and positive atmosphere, while engaging campers throughout the day with high energy, integrity, and passion.

  • Nurture the physical, social & emotional safety of all campers by consistently implementing all camp protocols, forming connections and fostering a supportive team environment for all.
  • Represent the organization professionally and respectfully throughout all facets of your day to campers, parents, site and facility partners and any guests you encounter while on the clock and in uniform.
  • Be a loyal, dedicated, and responsible team member who consistently shows up on time and ready to work for the campers and the rest of your team.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by camp leadership.


About You

  • Experience playing and/or coaching baseball and/or softball
  • Experience working with children in a camp, school or sport setting
  • Passionate about baseball and making a positive impact in the lives of children, families, and coaches.
  • Committed to the camp mission, top-notch program quality, the rest of your team, and our campers and their families.
  • Diligent, reliable and willing to learn.
  • Able to remain upright and standing for multiple hours at a time, to walk and/or run quickly around large outdoor grass and dirt-covered fields, and ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sports equipment.
  • Committed to adhering to the camp Cell-Phone Free policy, powering down and putting away cell phones for the duration of your shift.

Additional Camp Information

  • Camp Dates & Locations: June – August 2025
    • Camps will take place in Washington D.C., Maryland, and/or Virgina
    • Please note: Camp locations change weekly. Full 2025 camp schedule will be shared prior to camp
  • Schedule:
    • Coaches, Monday-Friday 8:00 am-3:30 pm
    • Camp Leadership, Monday-Friday 7:15-4pm
